Incandescent Lamp Types II Of the many types of incandescent lamps, we are only discussing a few here.

Rough Service Lamps

Rough service lamps are designed to withstand shocks and bumps by using a larger filament and more filament support wires. They are typically used in industrial service applications.

Cov-R-Guard™ Lamps

Cov-R-Guard™ lamps are designed to resist water breakage and operate in "hostile" environments. These lamps are coated with Teflon® to contain the shards of glass should the outer bulb break.

Cov-R-Guard™ lamps can be used indoors or outdoors, but unless protected, are not suitable for hazardous locations. Typical Cov-R-Guard™ lamp applications include food processing, metal fabricating, construction sites, and loading docks.

Decorative Lamps

Decorative lamps are used in chandeliers, sconces etc.. Styles include flame, bent tip, blunt tip, and globe. Bulb finishes may be clear, coated, or sprayed.
