Mercury lamps are outdated
but a replacement market still exists.
(HID) Mercury lamps are used in:
- landscape lighting
- backyards
- barns and farm houses
- old street lighting
The earliest HID lamps, introduced in 1930's delivers a bluish-white light. Mercury lamps have long life but lower efficiency than HPS or Metal Halide lamps.
